Dynamics of Time

Abstract

This article is set to illustrate a point about the absolute nature of the space-time and the movements through space-time which has been separated as travelling through space and travelling through time. The possibility of time-travelling into the future has been brought out in this article. These arguments of mine have been created on the top of the Special Theory of Relativity and The General Theory of Relativity. So this is going along with that. If it stands straight this arguments must stand straight.

It has been clarified by the General Theory of Relativity, that gravity is more of an illusion. Now, what about time? Before going into the argument about whether the time is an illusion or not let’s talk about this “Time” a little bit. Well, first of all, what is time? According to Google Time is the continued sequence of existence and events that occurs in apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, into the future. Allow me to talk about Time differently. Well, I argue that the existence of time cannot be spoken of without the existence of space. Einstein in his theories of Relativity has combined time with space and made spacetime to build the concept on it. Well, as more of the same I argue that time cannot exist without space and vice versa. Simply saying if there were no “Time”, there cannot be a “Space” and if there were no “Space” there cannot be a “Time”.

So here is the point, on which I build this new argument. I say “The Space” as well as “The Time” is not absolute. Yes, of course, Einstein had already said it. But here is the tricky point which I present. We know that any of our movement cannot be recognized if there weren’t any frame of reference (A.K.A. f.o.r. hereafter) other than us. If there were, we could conclude that, well we had a displacement or a movement relative to the other f.o.r. But on our f.o.r. we are still at rest in the same point. When we are moving related to another f.o.r. the world line of the other f.o.r. (the movement of the other f.o.r. relative to us) just get different. But still, we are at the origin point of our f.o.r. (assuming we consider our f.o.r. as we are at the origin). As such, though there was a relative motion we could not move in our own f.o.r. It brings us to a possible conclusion that well, we actually cannot move through space in our own f.o.r. We could only move through space in another f.o.r. Well, in a nutshell, this is what Gallelain Relativity is all about. So we can say that we cannot move through space in his/hers f.o.r. As “Time” is bound to be together with “Space” it would be no harm to argue the same situation for “Time”. In other words, we cannot move through time in our f.o.r. but the possibility for us to travel through another f.o.r.’s time is open. On behalf of our own f.o.r. this could conclude that we cannot go to our own future or past. It seems like nature has forbidden it. Laws of the Universe. Maybe.

Thus it is possible for us to travel through time in another f.o.r. This is all about time dilation. If you are familiar with the twin paradox or the movie ‘Interstellar’ you may already be familiar with the argument that I am going to build now. Well, the twin paradox talks about time dilation in the sense of the Special Theory of Relativity, but on the other hand, the movie ‘Interstellar’ talks about the time dilation in the sense of the General Theory of Relativity which is caused by acceleration/gravity. But in both ways, they talk about time dilationn. In the movie or in the twin paradox we see that the passengers have aged less than the people on the earth. For instance, let’s say that okay passengers left earth in 2021 and spend 2 years travelling and returned. According to them though it must have been 2023 by then, it is already kind of 2071. (These approximations differ with conditions of the journey of passengers) So if we took two twins for this experiment we see one has been 48 years elder than the other twin after they meet each other after the journey. This is exactly time travelling into the future. The twin who was one of the passengers has travelled to the future of the other twin (the other f.o.r). But in his own f.o.r. he is still at his present. He has just travelled into the future of another f.o.r., more precisely to the present of the other f.o.r. (in this case the f.o.r. of the twin who was on the Earth) which seemed to be the future of the traveller’s f.o.r.

So as each individual have their own f.o.r. we can say both “Time” and “Space” is bound to their own f.o.r. Such we could travel through time in some other f.o.r. as we could travel through space in some other f.o.r.

The next main point to consider is “Do we need to travel through space, to travel through time?” Well, the arguments are in favour of, yes we need to travel through space in order to travel through time. In other obvious words, we cannot travel through space without travelling through time and we cannot travel through time without travelling through space. In fact, as if there were no space, there would be no time, if there were no movement through space there won’t be any movement through time. Thus if there were space there will always be a movement through the space, such we automatically move through time. This means, if we were in space we always must have a movement through space for time to exist. If there were no movement through space, we cannot have a movement through time. In fact, what is “Time” then? If such there is no movement through time, there cannot be time. And if there is no “Time” there cannot be “Space”. This scenario is kind of the same as light. If there are no photons (light particles) there is none. If there are photons they always move. As such if there is a f.o.r. there will be a movement through both space and time. So again to the question, “Do we need to travel through space, in order to travel through time?” Yes. We must because both space and time are interconnected. It must be nature’s way. So in order to travel through time, we MUST travel through space. And in order to travel through space, we MUST travel through time.

You may argue you are currently travelling through time but you are at rest. Yes, you are at rest relative to the Earth. But the Earth, our Solar System, Our galaxy has a motion through space. Yet we are moving through space. If you went to deep space where you have no any other f.o.r. you could say “Okay now I am not moving”, I’m asking how you can be sure you are moving or not if there is no any other f.o.r. According to my above argument if there is no “Space” then what is “Time”? But if you feel you are getting older you can conclude that, okay I am moving through time. Then there is “Time”. If such there must be “Space”. Then as there is “Space” you must be travelling through space. Then you could still say okay I am moving. But relative to what? The answer is None. Well, this would conclude that there is no any absolute rest but there is an absolute movement through space-time. This last argument will make a crack in Galilean Relativity again, with the point that we can define an absolute motion and the f.o.r. for that absolute motion is the “Space-Time”.
